Mr Panncifoli
unwilling to deprive his Junior Mr Whyle of the pecuniary advantage £750 which he derives from the temporary appointment of Acting Judge of the Summary Court; and although the distinct understanding was that on return of Mr. Smale, the Office of Acting Judge of the Summary Court was again to devolve on Mr Pauncefote, the latter has very liberally allowed Mr Whyte to retain it with my consent during Mr. Ball's absence, and I trust the arrangement may receive Your Lordships' approval.
I have the honour to be, My Lord,
Your Lordships' most obedient humble Servant,
Ris Bache
